When it comes to a great tailgating environment and friendly fans, there is nothing that compares to a Virginia Tech football game.  Each fall, thousands of Hokie fans migrate to the equivocal Mecca of football, Lane Stadium.

Steppin’ Out

Each year Steppin’ Out offers an array of street vendors and crafts during the first weekend of August.  This is a town favorite that offers unique local and international foods, as well as great music and fun!

The New River

It has been written that mile for mile the New River produces more citation smallmouth and muskie than any other river in Virginia.  What does that mean for you? That means that every time you make a cast in the New River, your chances of hooking into a trophy smallmouth are better than anywhere in the state of Virginia.  You can also enjoy a day of tubing down the McCoy falls, located just minutes from Blacksburg.

The Cascades

About 150,000 visitors a year visit the Cascades . Without question, Cascade Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Virginia and possibly on the entire East Coast.  The scene is both breathtaking and peaceful as the falls combine both power and beauty. The falls are also fairly easy to view, with wooden stairs and platforms on one side of the pool allowing a visitor to get very close to the falls as well as allowing a photographer many different angles for photographs.
